The girl punk trio Vivian Girls from Brooklyn, NY, who became an instant sensation among critics and underground rock fans with their cute looks, finally made their debut in Japan with their second album! The recording of this album was done at Distillery Studio, where all analog equipment was used. The album is based on the same influences as the Ramones, 60's girl groups, surf rock, and indie pop as the previous album, but with a touch of The Gun Club and Neil Young. The album has a fresh and catchy garage sound with a slightly moody atmosphere. Their sound, which blends lushly woven, captivating vocal harmonies with sweet, provocative guitar noise/feedback and simple, timeless beats in a deep, revved-up atmosphere, has elements of punk and 60's girl groups as well as Jesus and the Merry Chain and the Soulful Souls, and is a perfect example of the "garage" sound of the 60's.
