Fabiano do Nascimento and Daniel Santiago are two guitarists/composers/producers representing contemporary Brazil who explore original music by approaching traditional South American music, jazz, classical, and ambient music with Brazilian music as their starting point. The album is released exclusively worldwide on LP and CD on the bar buenos aires label, which presents music by Carlos Aguirre, Quique Sinesi, and others that depicts beautiful and emotional sonic landscapes. Fabiano do Nascimento is a Brazilian-born guitarist currently living and working in LA, who most recently collaborated with Sam Gendell. Daniel Santiago is regarded as one of the best Brazilian guitarists in the contemporary jazz world, and is known for his releases on Kurt Rosenwinkel's Heartcore label. Both artists, while internalizing the roots of Brazilian music, continue to create with a spirit of experimentation that transcends national borders and genres. This album by these two longtime friends and collaborators was recorded in Daniel's hometown of Brasilia.Unlike the collaboration on Fabiano's 2023 work "Das Nuvens," this work magically resonates with a wide variety of musical expressions and tones, backed by the rich technique and background of both guitarists. Fabiano's guitar, which freely manipulates melodious harmonics and irregular time signatures, and Daniel's guitar, with its lyrical arpeggios and sophisticated harmonies, intertwine organically, while guest Jenifel Souza's vocals float like a dream, and Sakura Okamura's sho (Japanese bamboo flute) tone shines through like a ray of light. The music is subtle and delicate throughout. The music is filled with subtle spatial processing and effects, and is filled with stimulation that reaches deep into the listener's senses, encompassing a quiet, meditative, ambient, yet slightly feverish indigeneity. *Only the CD includes an exclusive long version of the album's title track, "Olhos D'agua".
