The 8th release by Capella, a vocal ensemble specializing in medieval and Renaissance music, featuring 19 masses by a genius Renaissance composer who was a contemporary of Leonardo da Vinci and was praised by Martin Luther. This is the eighth release by Capella, a vocal ensemble specializing in authentic medieval and Renaissance music. The Mass sublimates human emotions into spiritual implications. In the process of incorporating the songs into the work, it seems as if, in Josquin's hands, lamentation is transformed into consolation and the overcoming of fate. The vocal ensemble Capella has been working on this master's music for 15 years. This is a piece that allows the listener to carefully savor the sound of his maturity. This project commemorates the 500th anniversary of Josquin's death in 2021. We will release the remaining 6 discs (planned) and aim to complete the recording of all the pieces. Regulus
