Hydra is the brainchild of Henrik Hedström, a longtime Swedish songwriter and musician based in Stockholm. He has been friends with drummer and producer Daniel Flores for the past 15 years, and on this album Flores plays drums and keyboards, while vocals and lead & rhythm guitar are provided by Andy Kravljaka. Henrik plays keyboards, acoustic guitar, and clean guitar on this release.Henrik was signed to Warner/Chappell as a songwriter, writing pop music for artists, but it wasn't what he wanted to do, so he terminated his contract and contacted Daniel Flores, a friend of 15 years, and sent him a demo, He caught the attention of Frontiers Records, and in 2019 the song "A Million Miles," written by Henrik, was included on the First Signal album. The previous work is also a melodious piece that has gone through high acclaim among fans.The album is a melodic rock album full of melancholy and transparency, produced with Andy Kravljaca (vocals and guitar) and Daniel Flores (drums and keyboards).
