Description:
About Us is a melodic rock band from Wokha district of Nagaland, India. The band was formed in the winter of 2019 with members from different musical backgrounds who have been playing in different bands and projects for the past 15 years. Their musical tastes vary from blues, AOR, and hard rock, all of which are encapsulated in the band's musicality. In the midst of their energetic activities after the band's formation, in late April 2021, they released their first music video, "Gimmi Gimmi," which received 500,000 views on YouTube. The song later won the "M.G. Nagaland Music Awards" (June 23, 2021) and "Music Awards of Nagaland" (October 16, 2021) in the Best Rock category for two consecutive years. The band then released its self-titled debut album and second music video, "Right Now," in its native country. The band then caught the attention of Frontiers Records, which signed the band.The band's self-titled album and accompanying music video will be re-released worldwide in 2022 and will be the talk of the melodic rock mania here in Japan. The band's second album, "Take a Piece," is already in the works, and follows the musical style of its predecessor, with a more melodic and aggressive approach.
