This is the debut Japanese mini-album by Moonlight Sorcery, a three-piece black metal band from Tampere, Finland. The band formed in Finland in 2018, released the single "Ice-Vailed Spell" in January 2022, and released the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" the following month in February, digitally on bandcamp. Hailing from Finland, the world's leading metal country, which has also produced Sonata Arktika and Children of Bodom, the band's neoclassical style of fast-picking caught the attention of fans at home and abroad, and became a hot topic among enthusiasts here in Japan. The band received a great response and signed a contract with Avantgarde Music, based in Milan, Italy, and released the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" as a physical release. This time, after much negotiation with the label and the band, the EP was released as a unique Japan-only compilation with four new songs recorded on the EP.The band's musicality is based on melodic death metal with a focus on ethereal keyboards reminiscent of Finland's Children of Bodom and other bands, and also features the neoclassical metal elements of 80s guitar heroes such as Yngvay Malmsteen and Chris Imperitelli, as well as fast playing and stylistic beauty. A new generation metal band featuring fast playing and stylistic beauty.
