Westerman is a London-born artist based in Athens, Greece. Three years after his acclaimed debut album, Westerman releases his second album, An Inbuilt Fault, co-produced with James Klivchenia of Big Thief. London-born, Athens, Greece-based artist Westerman will release his long-awaited second album, "An Inbuilt Fault," in May 2023 on Partisan Records/Play It Again Sam. An Inbuilt Fault is the most adventurous and unself-conscious songwriting of Westerman's career, and the sound is heavier and bolder than his previous releases. 2020/2021, Westerman will be in Italy. After a period of isolation and solo work, a chance encounter with Big Thief's James Krivchenia at a show in London changed things.Westerman decided to collaborate with this drummer and his Los Angeles colleagues to flesh out the new songs. The Italian demos became the starting point for jams, and the imaginatively edited forms pushed the songs into new emotional territory, creating moods that were at times more sinister and at other times more triumphant. 2020 saw Westerman release his debut album, Your Hero Is Not Dead in 2020, Westerman released his debut album, Your Hero Is Not Dead. The album was a follow-up to the critically acclaimed EP, Ark.
