Scottish indie rock band The Vue completes its first new album in eight years. Produced by Youth (The Verve, Jesus & The Merry Chain, The Charlatans), their sixth album, "Exorcism of Youth," is out now. When The View reunited last year after a five-year absence, the three old friends realized how much they missed being in a band: the excitement of seeing the audience's reaction to their performances, the camaraderie of being together, the development of simple jam ideas into songs, etc. The event was held at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. At their comeback gig at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, all 10,000 tickets were sold out in advance. The response from the fans was overwhelming, and old friend, actor Martin Compston, also made an appearance on stage. During rehearsals at this show, ideas for new songs came to them, just as they had when they first started the band.Thus, band frontman Kyle Falconer and members Kieran Webster (B/V) and Pete Reilly (G) left their home in Scotland to record in Gradana, Spain, with Grammy-winner producer Youth (The Verve, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Charlatans) to record the album.
