Featuring unreleased tracks by label stalwarts Phil Lanelin and Wendell Harrison, as well as recordings from sister label Reverse Ink…! Naturally, it’s all previously unreleased material! For fans, the very fact that recordings were made even after the ’90s is a huge surprise, but the inclusion of works from Reverse Inc.—the label Wendell Harrison founded with Harold McKinney in ’77—is an even bigger shock! The album also includes liner notes by jazz writer Herb Boyd (the Japanese edition, STRUTCDJ210, features a Japanese-English translation!), which is something to look forward to. Furthermore, with numerous rare photos from Wendell Harrison’s personal collection included, this release is of immense historical value—truly a landmark event!
