Description:

The Ultimate Monophonic Ensemble! The sound is so rich that it is hard to believe that it is a combination of single notes. Sax Bass Duo is a duo unit consisting of Hiroyasu Ito, former bassist of Orquesta de la Luz and leader of Grupo Chebere, one of Japan's leading salsa-mixture bands, and Kunio Oyan, a member of Grupo Chebere and a saxophonist active in the J-Pop scene, including Japanese music. The unit is a duo unit. The duo will start in 2020 with the theme of "the ultimate monophonic ensemble. The two monophonic musicians are challenging themselves to play a wide variety of music, including jazz, Latin, and Spanish. For this recording, tabla player Seiki Yoshimi was invited as a guest, adding even more depth and flavor to the sound. The duo has established a unique duo style with a wide range of music selections from originals, well-known jazz standards, pop songs by Stevie Wonder and Norah Jones, and even classical music, as well as creative arrangements that make the most of the backgrounds of each of the musicians. ●Their sound is so rich that it is hard to believe that they are a combination of single notes, and they delight audiences with their rich sound.
