A tribute album to Latin jazz pianist Akane Noguchi, who passed away suddenly last year! The project leader is lyricist Sue Mizugyo. He came up with the idea of an animal suite 10 years ago and asked Noguchi to compose the music. Noguchi wrote six songs about an orangutan, a shirokuma, an elephant, an okoujyo, a seal, and a penguin, but for various reasons they were never released. Mizukyosue decided to launch this project upon Noguchi's death, determined to bring these unreleased songs to the world. Former Orquesta de la Luz bassist Hiroyasu Ito, who was selected as the producer, has arranged a wide variety of soul, techno pop, bossa nova, and gospel music to match the individuality of the songs received. In addition, a total of 12 of Japan's leading musicians were employed in the right places to bring out the best of each player's abilities. We hope you will enjoy this outlandish musical journey of delightful animals.
