The world of picture books played by YAMATO LOUNGE. A collaboration with picture book storytelling that began in 2024. The performance of original music, including improvisation, and the impressive world of pictures projected on a projector correspond with each other, creating a "felt experience" of the story. The CD jacket features new artwork by Takayuki Terakado, the artist who created the illustrations for "Momotaro by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The fantastic brush strokes illuminate the depths of the world of the story, making the entire album an "art piece of sound and pictures". This album also serves as a new gateway to "encountering picture books through music. By appealing to emotions beyond words, the music provides an opportunity to discover the depth and appeal of picture book artwork in a new way. Through this activity, we ourselves were moved by the depth of the stories that could not be touched only by words, and our new world expanded.We hope that this album will be a small "door" for those who have not yet been exposed to picture books, and that it will be a chance for them to encounter them in a heart-warming way.
