Aoi Yamaguchi's first full-length album in five years, "Recollection" covers nostalgic Japanese numbers and foreign songs with new arrangements. For this second volume, she adds hidden jazz classics and original translations, presented in the Yamaguchi style. Support is provided by veteran virtuosos Fabien Reza Panet and Atsuo Sakai on piano and Masahiro Itami on guitar. Poet Arthur Binard (winner of the 2001 Nakahara Nakaya Prize) and Yamaguchi himself have also translated the lyrics. The jacket features an artwork by Japanese painter Ai Kawamura, a long-held wish of Yamaguchi's.
