Chris Taylor, a core member of the Brooklyn indie-folk band Grizzly Bear, finally debuts on under the name Canto, a solo project! This album features Taylor himself as well as George Lewis, Jr. of Twin Shadow. After finishing production of Twin Shadow's "Forget," which was produced by Chris Taylor, Taylor and Lewis immediately began work on this album, completing most of the writing and recording in a week and a half. This is his first album as frontman, and it is a very personal work, yet at the same time it has an intimate sound that directly appeals to the listener's emotions and memories. With his exceptional talent as a multi-instrumentalist, production skills, and one of the leading songwriters of our time, Chris Taylor deftly captures the fear and madness that we all experience in life in his pop music.
