Glass Beams

Description:

The domestic CD version of the EP "Mahal", which had been difficult to obtain in the market, will be released as a general distribution version with a newly enclosed instruction manual! A limited edition T-shirt set and a limited quantity of cassette tapes will also be released at the same time! Only the cassette tape contains additional live sound sources! With their mysterious visuals and mysterious music that combines the East and the West, Glass Beams is a three-piece band that has been getting a lot of attention from early-earning fans around the world and is rapidly gaining followers. The band's music is a fusion of East and West, interweaving history and the future. This message that the band puts into their work becomes a prism through live instruments and electronica, creating an exotic sound that transcends concepts of time and place, creating an enchanting and mystical world. Melbourne-based Glass Beams was formed around Rajan Silva. The formation of the group was inspired by Rajan's feelings and childhood memories of his father, who immigrated to Melbourne from India in the late 1970s.In my memory of watching the DVD of "Concert for George," a tribute to the late Beatle George Harrison at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2002 with my father, I saw legendary Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar and his daughter Anoushka performing with Western icons Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and ELO's Jeff Lynne. His extensive musical background also comes from his father's record collection: along with the authentic blues of B.B. King and Muddy Waters, he grew up listening to the leading Bollywood artists Asha Bhosle and Mangeshkar, as well as R.D. Burman, Ananda Shankar, He was drawn to the fusion of Western musical styles and traditional Indian music pioneered by Indian artists such as R.D. Berman, Ananda Shankar, and Kalyanji Anandji. Creating a world of stateless exotic psychedelia, they released their debut EP, "Mirage," in 2021, which created a buzz through social networking and streaming and word of mouth that quickly spread the word among music fans.At a festival to which they were invited due to the sudden success of their debut album, they performed a song from the "Mirage" EP and a 20-minute unreleased song. After touring in 2023, they returned to their home studio to record the 20-minute song, which they called "Mahal.
