African Head Charge returns to On-U Sound with their first new album in 12 years! The album, entitled "Trip To Bolgatanga," was recorded under the direction of founding member Bonjo Ayabingi Noah, with Adrian Sherwood, a close friend and co-driver of the group, once again at the helm. Regarding the large gap between albums, Bonjo states, "Twelve years has passed. During the twelve years that passed, I was in Ghana spending time with my family, but I continued to create.I am sure you can understand that I still have a lot of things I need to ask of the world. During this period in my life, I wanted to work, but I also wanted to spend time with my family. I spent every day joyfully and devoted myself to creating. The sound of this album brings back memories of African Head Charge's classic albums such as "My Life In A Hole In The Ground" and "Songs Of Praise".
