In a career spanning more than a decade, he has produced seven albums, released numerous EPs, and participated in projects under various aliases. "This record is a very important record for me," he says. This record is a very different kind of work for me. It was recorded in a very different way, with a female vocalist involved in the whole process," Guillermo says. Vocalists include Zola Jesus, My Breathless Diamond's Sharla Warden, and the late Broadcaster Trish Keenan, each adding a completely different style and soul to an already unconventional musical tapestry. The theme of a "feminine album" was also reflected in the visuals, with UK-based Japanese illustrator Yuko Michishita also involved in the production. This album may feel like a departure from our other albums, but we didn't make it to alienate or confuse the listener.It's a different interpretation of my music that welcomes everyone who wants to hear it.
