The band is now a two-piece with Ian Williams on keyboards, guitar, and electronics, and John Stenier on drums, and has hired hit maker Chris Tabron, who has worked with Beyoncé, Erykah Badu, and The Strokes, to produce and mix the album. The band's fourth original album in four years is an unconventional and explosive album that is packed with information to the brink of explosion. The preceding single, "Titanium 2 Step," features Sal Principato of Liquid Liquid, one of the most unique bands in the no-wave scene, on vocals.Other artists include John Anderson, the first vocalist of Yes, Taiwanese experimental rock band Falling Grasslands WWWW, New York female artist Senia Rubinos, who is known for her genre-less style, underground hip-hop unit Shabazz Palesez, Tune Yards, known for their lo-fi, organic performances and experimental sound, and a bonus track included only on the domestic release, Yuta Sumiyoshi of the taiko performing arts group Kodo, a unique collection of talents that no one but Battles would consider. First release in Japan. Poster booklet enclosed. Includes commentary and bilingual lyrics. Paper jacket.
