The preceding single is already so famous that it is extremely popular! Limited quantity cassette tapes of Bibio's latest album "Ribbons", whose richly scenic sound gently touches your heart, are now available! Bibio releases his new album "Ribbons", his first studio album since 2016's "A Mineral Love". Stephen Wilkinson, aka Bibio, writes the music, sings the lyrics, and plays almost all of the instruments himself. The album incorporates a lot of both the 60s and 70s style folk music, especially British and Irish acid folk, and the dreamy harmonies of the American West Coast, which Bibio himself describes as a major influence, as well as the Dyla and Madlib samples that he admires so much. There are also glimpses of homage to the soul music of Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Sharp, sampled by the revered J. Dilla and Madlib.This time, he also tried his hand at mandolin and violin, and the ethnic melodies that emerged from them add a new look to the music. While the preceding single "Curls" has already created a big buzz, a cassette tape with a limited quantity has been released. A limited edition of 200 purple cassettes will be released with an additional bonus track.
