Neko Sensen releases long-awaited 2nd Full Album "Ginger Cat Application" in a CD+DVD limited edition! This is the second full album of Nekosen, released after "exactly" four years. The album title is derived from an actual anniversary. For Mio Harada, who writes the lyrics and sings the vocals for the album, all of the emotions and landscapes that she has used in her songs are symbols of her present, and are moments that were essential for her to meet the cat (=ginger cat) that she lives with. This album is a collection of 11 songs, both previously released and newly recorded, that are a grateful compilation of the trajectory of her music production and life.The album begins with a one-shot intro track featuring the title track, "Cutie Honey Melomantic," a dreamy bossa number with upright bass by bassist Yuto Sawai, "Zakuro," with its lilting flute and percussion rhythm that caresses the listener's cheeks, and "Cat Number," a cat anthem Harada calls a "cat number" that he wrote with the image of a party in mind. Harada calls it a "cat number," and it includes "Cat Is Love," a cat anthem written from the image of a party, and "Mochimochi," a song written for an indie TV anime and produced by an unparalleled cat lover.In addition to the alternative mood and unique poetic world of their first album, this new album is layered with the essence of jazz, soul, bossa nova, samba, and other music mastered in their own pop style, and is one in which the universality and uniqueness of the "cat war" can be felt at the same time. This limited edition release also comes with a DVD containing live footage from the "Cats & Mellow #3 Tour" held on February 2 and 22, 2025 at the Guggenheim House in Kobe and Dance Hall New Century in Tokyo.Like the previous album, it will be released on February 2, the same date as the first album "Honey, Moon, and Travels," which was released when he was in college, in a 4-page paper jacket with artwork by Harada, who usually loves to listen to music on CD.
