Saho Terao's new album "Shu Sha In" is her first album in about 2 years. Ten songs, including the first advance single "Ai no Arika" and the second advance single "Shu Sha In" will be released on CD, analog, and subscription. Starting with the song "Some of my friends are dead" and a fanfare of light and jazzy trumpet, this is the first new album by Saho Terao in about two years, "Shu Sha In. Almost a year has passed since we returned to our usual life after the Corona Disaster, which lasted almost three years. In the name of social distance, each and every one of us has gone through some of the most difficult times that we have ever faced in the past, and while it seems that we are finally back to normal, looking outside, wars and disasters continue unceasingly, and it often feels as if we are living in a completely different parallel world than the one before the pandemic. At times like these, I think it is important to check our current location through casual chats with those close to us.In this work, too, the dialogue between Saho Terao and Mahitu the Peepo (E.Guitar), Takashi Ueno of the Tenniscoats (Sax), Santa Takahashi (Trumpet), Masatomo Utajima (Veena), Tatsuro Kondo (Harmonica), Masashi Sekiguchi (Cello), Yuka Yoshino (Harp) and other musicians who support the music in Japan The dialogue with these musicians, who are all saddened together, vent their anger violently, and sometimes explode with joy, is accelerated and sublimated into music. The preceding single, "Ai no arika," spins a unique groove full of originality while maintaining a slow tempo, featuring Reizaburo Hachichi (drums) and Wataru Iga (bass), who are also members of "Wasted by Winter," and Saho Terao's piano and organ. Terao's gentle vocals are layered on top of them, and it is as if the form of love that everyone is searching for in the present day suddenly appears in a moment while listening to this song.As represented by "Shu Shain" and "Good Evening, Mr. Moon" (lyrics and music by Ryo Kagawa), the despair that exists in people who live their lives, shaken by the times, can be transformed into hope as long as they are alive.
