DEFECTO is a Danish band that has suddenly burst onto the metal scene with a melodic and technical sound, catchy choruses, powerful riffs and blazing solos, and a gritty modern metal feel. Singer Niklas was discovered by METALLICA producer Flemming Rasmussen as "the talent to follow in the footsteps of VOLBEAT! After the release of their debut album "Excluded" in 2016, the band was selected to support METALLICA and RAMMSTEIN, and became the talk of the town. A solo tour in Denmark was sold out, followed by a European tour and outdoor festivals, where the band gained fans one after another. In November 2017, the band visited Japan for Loud & Metal Mania, where they gave a powerful performance that lived up to their reputation. This was followed by the release of their second album, "Nemesis," which was highly acclaimed. The Danish metal band had never before made such progress in such a short period of time. They then completed their remarkable new album "Duality".Inspired by the duality of life, the album has an explosive sound, a unique atmosphere, and a well-balanced mix of light and dark. With melodies that tug at the heartstrings, DEFECTO is definitely a "band to watch" as they take the next step to prove their greater potential. I feel the same excitement for them as I did when ALTER BRIDGE and CIRCUS MAXIMUS came on the scene.
