Lalo (1823-1892)

Description:

Jean-Jacques Kantorov conducts! A collection of works by Lalo and Roussel premiered in Paris. Also featuring solo performances by Svetlin Rousseff and Alain Rahé! Conductor Jean-Jacques Kantorov conducts the Orchestre de Douai Région Hauts-de-France in a recording of works by Lalo and Roussel premiered in Paris. Edouard Lalo, of Spanish descent, studied at the Paris Conservatory and later became a violinist and violist. Among his many exotic and brilliant works, the Spanish Symphony, premiered by Sarasate, is the masterpiece that made Lalo's name famous, and is a masterpiece that makes the most of the violin's characteristics, including passionate melodies, technical arpeggios, and the continuous pizzicato technique of the left hand. Svetlin Rusev, solo violinist, was born in Bulgaria in 1976. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and the Ecole Normale in Paris with Gerard Poullet, Douby Erly, Jean-Jacques Kantorov, and others. He is a popular violinist in Japan, having won the first prize at the Sendai International Music Competition (2001). Under the direction of his teacher Kantorov, he has been performing eloquently and speaking to the audience.Albert Roussel, who was a naval officer until the age of 25 and then studied under Dandy at the Schola Cantorum, is a composer who started out under the influence of impressionism and reached neoclassicism through the barbarism of Stravinsky. His Concerto for Small Orchestra and Piano Concerto were both composed in 1927 and premiered in Paris. Alain Rahé, who plays the piano solo, was born in France in 1947. Known as an expert on French music, he has made numerous recordings with Roussel, Arthur Honegger, and Florent Schmidt, among others. It is a pleasure to hear the latest recordings of the French maestro. King International
