Born in Seoul in 1988, Kim Son-Neuk has a brilliant competition record and solid ability. 2006 she won the Leeds International Piano Competition at the age of 18, the youngest winner in its 40-year history, and the first Asian to win the competition. She has won the Ettlingen International Piano Competition for Youth (2004) and the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition (2005), and has performed with world-class orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Concertgebouw Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and made her BBC Proms debut in 2014. He is a young pianist with a spectacular career with recordings of Beethoven and Eunsuk Chin's piano concertos under the direction of Myung-Whun Chung, two titles on Deutsche Grammophon. He is now releasing a solo album on ACCENTUS MUSIC, and Beethoven's piano sonatas, which are his specialty, have been chosen for the recording.The strong hitting keys and advanced technique make for a brilliant and powerful performance.
