Sophie Wang, a young violinist who has been attracting international attention since her debut at the Baden-Baden Festival at the age of 10, will perform a collection of intimate works by Mr. and Mrs. Schumann with the German-born pianist Florian Gremser, who is devoted to Schumann. Sophie Wang, a young and internationally acclaimed violinist, will perform a collection of works by Schumann and his wife. Sophie Wang was born in Taiwan in 1999. She studied under Rainer Kussmaul, Igor Ozim, and Boris Kushnir, and studied with Ning Feng at the Hans Eisler University of Music. In addition to appearing in major concert halls in Taiwan, she is regularly invited to numerous orchestras and music festivals in Germany and is steadily building her reputation, including her debut in 2016 at the Spanungen Heimbach Chamber Music Festival, where Lars Folkert is artistic director.This year's selections include Robert Schumann's "Three Romances," which he gave to Clara Schumann as a Christmas present, and which is said to have inspired Clara Schumann's "Three Romances" as a Christmas present to Brahms, The "Violin Sonata No. 1" by Robert Schumann, which Clara Schumann performed many times with Joseph Joachim, and the "F.A.E. Sonata" composed by Robert Schumann with Albert Dietrich and Brahms, which were written during the Schumanns' stay in Düsseldorf. which was created between 1849 and 1854. These are intimate and substantial works composed at a time when the couple was in constant contact and mutual inspiration with their friends, including Albert Dietrich, Brahms, and Joseph Joachim.
