Description:
A collection of Glinka's piano variations by Russian-born French pianist Vladimir Staupel. In this program, the pieces are purposely arranged in chronological order of composition so that the audience can trace the evolution of Glinka's compositions. In addition, works by Balakirev and Lyadov will also be included, as if to remind us of the influence of Glinka, the "father of Russian music. Staupel, who won the top prize at the Geneva International Music Competition, will perform Glinka with flair. Tokyo M-Plus
