A collection of piano works by Josef Tull, a great composer who studied in Berlin, fled Nazi persecution, moved to Palestine (later Israel), and became a founder of electronic music in that country. From his early "Chaconne" and "Three Pieces," which retain a strong Romantic tradition, to his "Piano Sonata," which incorporates Jewish melodies and the twelve-tone technique, and his later "Essay," which uses a unique technique of creating music from a minimum of motives (tone cells), this collection traces the evolution of a composer who lived through the turbulent history of the 20th century. The exhibition traces the transition of a composer who lived with the turbulent history of the 20th century. The most significant work is "Concerto No. 5 for Piano and Magnetic Tape," a fusion of electronic music and live instruments, which he pioneered.The sound of magnetic tape by the composer himself and the piano create a thrilling dialogue and confrontation.
