Il Zabaione Musicale, an ancient music ensemble with Sonoko Asabuki! The ensemble Il Zabaione Musicale, featuring Sonoko Asabuki, presents a collection of cantatas by Antonio Cesti (1623-1669). Cesti was a successful and famous singer and opera composer in Florence, Innsbruck, and Vienna, but he also left a cantata based on a poem by Giovanni Filippo Apolloni, which is included in this album. Sonoko Asabuki, a member of the ancient music ensemble "Il Zabaione Musicale" formed by musicians who met at the Schola Cantorum of Barsel, is a baroque violinist and viola player, and after completing her master's degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts, she studied viola at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany. She studied viola at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany and baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basel in Switzerland, and performs internationally from her base in Switzerland.
