Sholena Tsintsabaze is a pianist born into a musical family in Moscow who studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Zinaida Ignatieva and Sergei Dorensky, and later with Oksana Yablonskaya in the United States. She has won prizes at numerous international competitions, including the Ibra International Piano Competition (2000), and in 2015 founded the “Georgia International Young Musicians Association,” where she is dedicated to promoting classical music among the younger generation. While her selection of composers—Schumann, Brahms, and Chopin—follows the traditional path, the program stands out for its clever twists.
