Piano Concerto by "Donizetti's Master" Djimon MaileThe fourth recording of the Ingolstadt Georgian Chamber Orchestra, founded in Georgia during the Soviet era, moved to Ingolstadt, Germany, in 1990 and has been active in a variety of fields. The German composer Johann Simon Meyer (1763-1845), active in Italy, was for a long time known only as "Donizetti's teacher," but in recent years a revival has been underway, and two piano concertos are recorded here for the first time in the world. The famous Belgian-Israeli female pianist Edna Stern portrays the little-known talent of Meir, who was also highly praised by Rossini and Verdi. Tokyo M-Plus
