The ensemble's sound and sense of unity are unmistakable, with a distinguished lineup including trumpet player Peter Roth of the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, trombonist Frederick Deitz, and horn player Oliver Nicolai, who plays with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Cologne, and the Cologne Academy. The sound and sense of unity of the ensemble is one of the best in the world. It is also interesting to note that the members of the ensemble play both modern and period instruments on the recordings.
