With Japanese commentary! Tomoko Ogasawara plays Beethoven's Late Three Sonatas! The Genuin label presents a collection of Beethoven's three late sonatas by Tomoko Ogasawara, a Japanese pianist active mainly in Germany. Tomoko Ogasawara, who has performed many of Beethoven's sonatas in her career, says that the three sonatas have a special meaning to her, and she wanted to record them on CD. The recording was made possible with the help of my former student and recording engineer, Michael Gilberhorn. The performance is a masterpiece, with a convincing interpretation of these works, which are transcendent in every respect, captured with precision and delicacy. Tomoko Ogasawara studied at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music under Teruharu Shinsima and Hiroshi Tamura before moving to Germany, where she graduated with top honors from the Berlin University of the Arts and the Freiburg University of Music. She was a finalist in the Maria Canals International Competition and the Clara Haskil International Competition, and has performed and recorded in Europe and Asia, including a concert of Mozart's complete piano sonatas for the 250th anniversary of his birth. She has also performed and recorded in Europe and Asia.She has extensive experience in chamber music, performing with her husband Matthias Ranft, principal cellist of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the principal players of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra in numerous chamber music concerts and festivals every year. I am very happy to have this CD. For me, this CD is like the last song of Op. 110, "Es ist vollbracht", "Es ist vollbracht", "Es ist vollbracht", "Es ist vollbracht", "Es ist vollbracht".
