Timpani added to Liszt's arrangement of Beethoven's 9th for 2 pianos! Piano Duo Chipak-Kushnir's third CD for GENUIN is Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with Chorus, arranged by Liszt for two pianos. Liszt's arrangements of Beethoven's symphonies are well known and many of them have been recorded. Prior to these arrangements for solo piano, Liszt arranged his 9th Symphony for two pianos in 1851, which is also popular. In this new recording, the timpani are extracted from Beethoven's score and added to Liszt's arrangement of the 9th Symphony for two pianos. It is interesting that this alone gives a completely different impression. Olga Chipak and Oleksiy-Kushnir both teach at the Rostock Music and Stage University and the Lviv National Music Academy in Ukraine (their alma mater). Francisco Manuel Angus Rodriguez, percussionist, was born in Seville in 1990. He is active in Berlin and other parts of Germany. Tobu Land System
