Christian Ridil was born in 1943 in Breslau (now Wrocław, Poland), which had long been under German rule. After serving as a teacher at a gymnasium (middle and high school) for 14 years, he joined the faculty at Goethe University in Frankfurt in 2011, where he also directed the university choir while composing a variety of works. As a result, all of the pieces in this collection are accessible and easy to enjoy. Camerata Musica Limburg is a men’s choir founded in 1999 by Jan Schumacher.
