A CD of works for unaccompanied flute by German composers of the Baroque period, Johann Martin Brochowitz (1687-1742) is a composer for whom information is scarce, and here Garzli-Wahlgren has selected four dances to form a suite. Anna Gáltzly-Wahlgren is a Hungarian flutist who has long been the associate principal flutist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra since 1995, and is also the first flutist of the Quintessents, a flute quintet. He is also the first flutist of the Quintessenz, a flute quintet. However, he has rarely recorded solo CDs, so this is a performance in which he is in his element. Tobu Land System
