This is a collection of Bach's piano concertos by Shahayev Nosraty, who is still in his twenties but is attracting a lot of attention as a Bach pianist in Germany. Nosraty's debut CD is Bach's Technique of Fugue (GEN 15374). Born in 1989 in Bochum, western Germany, Shahayev Nosraty became widely known as a Bach player after winning second prize in the piano category of the International Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2014. This performance of Bach's three concertos is also noteworthy. Nosrati actively incorporated Bach's ambitious expressive techniques of period playing into his piano playing and successfully combined them with the humanistic warmth that only modern piano playing can offer, creating a truly fresh and pleasing concerto. He not only plays solo but also participates in the solo part, leading the orchestra, and actively adds ornaments that are not in the score.The Deutsche Chamber Orchestra Berlin's modest but perfectly matched accompaniment to Nosrati's orientation is also good.
