Debut album by the Shalamov Piano Duo, winners of the 2015 Munich International Competition (ARD music competition), Piano Duo category. The duo was formed in Bulgaria and studied at the Queen Sofia Conservatory in Spain. They studied at the Queen Sofia Conservatory in Spain and at the Rostock University of Music in Germany with the famous brother duo Hans-Peter Stenzl and Volker Stenzl. The ensemble's performance of Debussy's "Suite Petites" is smooth, meltingly soft melodies, while the Schubert piece is brave, rhythmic, and crisp.
