The second recording of Schumann's complete symphonies, following the master Klovaczewski's complete Beethoven symphonies! The complete works are now complete! This disc is the second recording of Schumann's complete symphonies, and is a project that was requested by Skrowaczewski himself after the completion of the complete Beethoven symphonies. The performance is full of youthful vitality and passionate expression, which is hard to believe that Schumann is 84 years old! The previous discs of Symphony No. 1 "Spring" and No. 4 were specially selected by Record Geijutsu. The dense sound and intense spirit of Symphony No. 4 are also worth listening to, but I was also impressed by Symphony No. 1. If you take into account the quality of the sound, it probably surpasses the great performances of Furtwängler and Klemperer of yesteryear. The tempo of the main part is faster than anyone has ever played, the rhythms are brisk and bouncy, and the music is truly youthful, not to mention the organic and contented splendor of the first movement's opening.The energy and rawness of spring jumps out at you.
