Akane Sakai, well known for her piano duo with Martha Argerich, is a leading pianist in Japan and abroad. Between the works of Bach and Chopin, which form the core of the album, Akane Sakai includes works by Jewish Polish composers from the post-World War I era, whose works she herself has been making efforts to discover. This is a wonderful album that will give you a glimpse of Akane Sakai's "now".
