Description:
FILI BIBIANO'S FORTRESS, a traditional heavy metal band from California, USA, released their second album in 2026. Formed in Whittier, California in 2016, this traditional heavy metal band released their debut album 'Don't Spare the Wicked' via High Roller Records in 2021, following an EP. Subsequently, due to numerous bands sharing the same name, the current band name was adopted, bearing the name of founding member Fili Bibiano, who also plays in INTRANCED. On this album, Fili Bibiano handles guitar, bass, and synthesizer. Joey Mancaruso plays drums, and new vocalist Juan Aguila takes the mic. The album was primarily recorded at Black Light Studio and Brothers Marc Studio in Gardena, California, with Fili Bibiano also serving as producer. Former vocalist Chris Nunez makes a guest appearance on "Blackest Night."Sound-wise, Fili Bibiano's neo-classical guitar playing remains central, much like the previous work. His style, effortlessly shifting between rapid runs and lyrical phrases, is the defining feature of this album. As he himself states, the songs were shaped through a natural production process prioritizing intuition and feel, giving them a distinctly unique character even within the current scene. Undaunted by technical complexity and steadfastly played from the soul, this album clearly demonstrates the band's commitment to quality over quantity.
