Formed in 1985, this is the first full-length album by Stuttgart, Germany-based neo-scaled legends NO SPORTS since 1998. 15 tracks on CD, 3 more than on LP. M1 "Politicians" starts off with a Russian folk song-like tone, and I have to admit that I was a bit surprised, but from M2 onward, it is the usual NO SPORTS sound, a parade of cheerful neoska numbers that naturally get your body moving. The album is rich in variety and playfulness, with M7 "Together Strong" boldly incorporating a phrase from Matsuo Basho's famous haiku. Incidentally, "Twang" in the title is an onomatopoeia for the sound of a guitar.
