Dubbed "Public Enemies of Africa" by the BBC for linking hip-hop to the political struggle, Pee Floyce was a group that inspired an entire generation. Their accomplishments are many and varied, but most of all they should be credited for incorporating the fundamentals of hip-hop and reggae into a sound deeply rooted in the realities of Dakar, creating music that resonates with a generation of young people. Along with groups such as Positive Black Soul and Darla J, they have become champions of Senegalese hip-hop, but this milestone album was originally released only on cassette and was difficult to find for a long time. The reissue on vinyl is truly an accomplishment. The 48-page booklet with rare artist photos and liner notes is included.The booklet celebrates the uniqueness of Senegalese hip-hop and its important contribution to the wider history of African hip-hop, making it a truly significant release in that sense.
