GIMPFIST, a veteran British Oi! band that released a split album with Japan’s ANGERFLARES in 2016, has released their 12th album, a 2026 release, via SUNNYBASTARDS. Since forming in 2005, they have released 11 albums, 6 singles, and 3 EPs. Having performed annually at the “Rebellion Festival” since 2008, they are now entering their 21st year and continue to solidify their status as a staple of the scene. Produced by Jamie Wilson, this album consists of 15 all-new tracks. “With this album, I feel we’ve managed to fuse the various elements and styles that have influenced us without compromising the unique GIMPFIST vibe,” says vocalist and guitarist Johnny. The album ranges from tracks like “Give Me a Reason,” which tackle current economic conditions and the struggles of the working class, to the scathing, fear-filled tirade against fascists and tyrants found in “Waiting for the Punchline,” reminiscent of early RANCID. Blending street punk, ska, and dirty reggae, *Take The Power Back* is sure to thrill longtime fans and undoubtedly win over new supporters.
