Description:
The Kinks, a great British rock group and a treasure of British music! Celebrating their 60th anniversary this year, the Kinks have reissued four albums from the second half of their "theatrical/concept album period" in the early 70's on vinyl! PRESERVATION ACT 2" is the sequel to the story told in the previous album, and is the 13th studio album and the second chapter of the concept album that further developed the musical drama of Ray Davies! The Kinks, a great British rock group and a treasure of British music, will celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2023. The Kinks began in Muswell Hill, north London, with brothers Ray and Dave Davies and their friend Pete Quaife, and after Mick Avory joined in early 1964, they quickly established themselves as one of the leading groups of the 1960s. Their sound and style are still influential and timeless today, making them a British Rock band worthy of the word "great".The band's four albums released between 1973 and 1975 are now being reissued on black analog vinyl! The albums to be reissued in black analog are "PRESERVATION ACT 1" released in 1973 and "PRESERVATION ACT 2" released in 1974, a grand concept album spanning two albums, as well as two concept albums released in 1975 under the title "The Kinks PRESERVATION ACT 1 and PRESERVATION ACT 2, released the following year in 1974, were grand concept albums spanning two albums: SOAP OPERA and SCHOOLBOYS IN DISGRACE, two concept albums released in 1975 with the title "Presents". PRESERVATION ACT 2 is the Kinks' 13th studio album, and is the second act of a concept album released in 1974, continuing the story/concept theme of their previous album, PRESERVATION ACT 1.This piece further expands on Ray Davies' musical theater, using the nostalgia of the charming small town of Village Green as a template for a story about society as a whole and how it works, with theatrical development, instrumentation, announcements, guest singers, and the songs themselves, all conceptually and elaborately assembled. The production is a further development of Ray Davies's musical theater, which is based on a concept that is elaborately constructed from all of the elements: theatrical development, instrumentation, announcements, guest singers, and the songs themselves. The Kinks' unique charm is evident in songs such as "Money Talks," "He's Evil," "Mirror Of Love," and "Artificial Man," which are all included on this release. This is the first re-press of the original analog release since 1974, with the exception of a US-only reissue in 2008, This will be a must-have for fans of The Kinks.
