Mayday Parade is a pop-emo rock act from Tallahassee, Florida. They have gained great popularity for their punk rock sound with sweet and sad pop melodies, and have completed their seventh studio album. Derek Sanders (vo), Alex Garcia (g), Brooks Betts (g), Jeremy Renzo (b/vo), and Jake Bundrick (dr) produced the album with Zach Odom & Kenneth Mount, who have worked together for many years on this album, The process was different from their previous albums. With no final destination in mind, they focused solely on making the best songs they could, and were not bound by such ideas as whether to make a single, an EP, or a full-length album. The result is a collection of 12 songs that depict the band's point of view as they continue to move forward, armed with knowledge that can only be gained by looking back. The latest single to be taken from the album is "Golden Days. In the words of frontman Derek, the song is about "pandemic fatigue. After a year of restricted activity and negativity, we were hopeful that the good times would soon come. Having experienced a time when they could not move and social distance was the cry of the day, they feel that they can not only make music for themselves, but also connect with their fans through their music. We live in different states and lead separate lives," bassist Jeremy says.Still, it's always a highlight for us to be able to get together and play music together," adds lead singer Derek. We've been together for so long, we could have gone our separate ways, we could have had so many other life choices, but we're so lucky to still be together. In addition to "Golden Days," the album contains emotional and pop songs such as "Kids Of Summer," a sweet and sour coming-of-age anthem that is sure to be a hit at shows, "One For The Rocks And One For The Scary," which is both sad and powerful, and "Bad At Love," a bittersweet song. In conjunction with the album release, Mayday Parade has announced that they will be touring next February to celebrate the band's 11th anniversary. WHAT IT MEANS TO FALL APART" is the latest album full of beautiful, sad, and bright melodies played by the band, who are happy to connect with their fans again through music and share their music with them. This rock album is like a light at the end of a long tunnel.
