The band's early works are now available in an Expanded Edition with a number of attractive bonus tracks! The band's eighth album "ROCK THE NATION" (1986), which returned to the hard NWOBHM sound of their last few albums, is now available with 8 bonus tracks! SAXON, the NWOBHM band that has long been blasting forward on the path of heavy metal in a single-minded, manly, hard-hitting manner, has released five UK Top 40 albums and four UK Top 20 singles from their self-titled debut in 1979 to their latest album, "INSPIRATIONS" released this year. The band has released five UK Top 40 albums and four UK Top 20 singles between 1979 and 1988, and is now releasing their early work in an expanded edition with a number of fascinating new bonus tracks. Their 8th album, ROCK THE NATION, was released in 1986.Produced at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Holland, with Gary Lyons as producer, the album brings back the NWOBHM hardness of the band, a return to its roots in the American-oriented sound of the last few albums. The album also features a surprise guest appearance by Elton John on keyboards on two songs, "Northern Lady" and "Party Til You Puke". Bonus tracks include eight songs, including a live BBC recording of the 1986 Reading Festival, as well as a radio edit of the single and a B-side song.
