Julai Talk, an alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada, has completed their third album "PRAY FOR IT" after 4 years! Juky Talk, an alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada, featuring twin male and female vocalists Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay, is releasing their third full-length album. Their self-titled debut album won the Juno Award, Canada's Grammy Award, for Alternative Album of the Year in 2015, and was a gold disc in the country. From the following 2016 release, TOUCH, the first single, "Push+Pull," spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Canadian alternative radio charts. Having established a solid position in their home country's rock scene, they also simultaneously toured Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Australia, playing at major festivals such as the Voodoo Music+Arts Experience and Austin City Limits in the U.S. and the Isle Of Wight Festival in the UK. PRAY FOR IT" is the third and latest album from Julai Talk. The album, produced by Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett/The Drones/Julia Jacklin), Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck/Metz), David Plowman ( Brendan Canning/Young Clancy/Michael Rault), and Milan Sarkadi (Mute Choir/Said The Whale). Rob Schnapf (Beck/Cat Power/Andy Shauf) handled the mix-down. From the album artwork to the music video, all visuals for "PRAY FOR IT" are in black and white. With this album, Julai Talk attempts to break the pattern of action-reaction. One of the themes running throughout the album is conflict, which is also the inspiration for the lead track, "Pay For It. The song was inspired by an incident late one summer night when my friend and bandmate were suddenly attacked by a group of men at a fast food restaurant," says vocalist Leah.This song gave me the opportunity to tell that experience as it is and that such incidents have been happening in the same way for a long time. If we begin to ask where these qualities that are so ingrained in us come from, and why violence, greed, destruction, and hatred repeat themselves, we may be able to end this negative pattern. Julai Talk's approach has remained unchanged since her debut, as she continues to deliver her emotionally charged, searingly hot rock sound with intense performances. They have also been vocal about improving the music industry by making sure that audiences are safe at festivals and live shows. But they do not stand still. As long as the world keeps changing at a dizzying pace, Julai Talks will keep going too!
