Description:
David Crosby has been pursuing his own musical world for over 60 years, from the Byrds to CSN to solo. Now two studio albums by CPR, the project he formed in the late 1990s, are back! The second album "JUST LIKE GRAVITY" is now available, featuring the U.S. radio hit "Katy Did" and pushing the boundaries of beautiful vocal harmonies and a sophisticated jazzy rock sound! David Crosby has been pursuing his own musical world for over 60 years, from the Byrds to CSN to solo. After more than half a century of his career, he continues to look at society, explore music, and deliver his message, but his creative drive has not waned one bit, and for the past few years he has been releasing albums at a rate of one every one to two years. The self-titled debut studio album by CPR, a unit consisting of David Crosby, session guitarist Jeff Peever, and Crosby's son, keyboardist James Raymond, is being reissued. Jeff Peever met Crosby in 1992 when he was a member of Marc Cohn's band and opened for Crosby, Stills & Nash. And James Raymond, his own son who had been separated from him and whom he was able to meet after Crosby underwent a liver transplant. In 1997, the trio toured for the first time as a trio and released a live album, "Live at Cuesta College," in January 1998. The trio then entered Jackson Browne's Groovemasters studio in Santa Monica to record their self-titled debut studio album, CPR, which was released in March 1998, CPR, released in March 1998, contains 11 original compositions by the three members. The album was highly acclaimed at the time for its beautiful vocal harmonies and sophisticated, jazzy rock sound. After an album of live performances at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, their second studio album "Just Like Gravity" was released in 2001. The beautiful vocal harmonies and sophisticated jazz-rock sound of the previous album were further developed in this album, and "Katy Did" by Crosby and Peever became a radio hit in the U.S. This time, the original album is being reissued. This reissue includes the original album and a CD booklet with new liner notes featuring interviews with the three members. (1/2)
