Keith Richards is a great rock icon and a living legend who has been dedicated to rock and roll. While it is still fresh in our minds that the 30th anniversary edition of his memorable first solo album "Talk Is Cheap" was released in March this year, his second studio album under his solo name, which was released in 1992, has been reissued on CD and analog with remastered sound sources in 2015. After the release of his first solo album in 1988, Keith and Mick Jagger, who had been on bad terms at the time, teamed up again and released the album "STEEL WHEELS" as the Rolling Stones in 1989, which marked the beginning of the Stones' resurgence. After a massive tour, they took a temporary break from their activities as the Stones until the release of their next album, 1994's "VOODOO LOUNGE," which was released in 1992.After the tour for "STEEL WHEELS" was over, Keith recruited Steve Jordan, who had collaborated on his previous solo album, as well as Waddy Wachtel, who had worked on his previous album, as co-producers and formed his own band, THE X-PENSIVE WINOS (including the two of them). The second album, "The X-Pensieve Winos", was recorded in California and New York from March to September 1992. The second album, MAIN OFFENDER, was released in October of the same year, and was followed by a European and North American tour under his solo name. While his first solo album fully demonstrated his identity as the musical leader of the Stones, this second album shows a different approach to rock music from the Stones, expressing his roots more freely, with songs that sound like Southern soul, folky ballads, and a more melancholic sound, The album features Southern soul-inspired songs, folky ballads, and 50's rock 'n' roll, all of which bring a fresh breath of life to the rock genre.The album itself reached #45 on the UK Albums Chart and #99 on the U.S. Albums Chart, and "Wicked as it Seems", a single cut from the album, reached #3 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart and "Eileen" reached #17 on the same chart. The song "Eileen" reached No. 17 on the same chart.
