THE SHERLOCKS are a four-piece band from Sheffield who made a strong impression on the UK rock scene with their debut album "Live for the Moment" in 2017. The Sheffield quartet, THE SHERLOCKS, have made a strong impression on the UK rock scene with their album "Live for the Moment", and have since performed in Japan for the first time in 2018 and at Summer Sonic '18 in the same year, impressing UK rock fans in Japan with their ability as a live act. Their long-awaited second album "UNDER THE SKY" is produced by the band. The album was produced by James Skelly of The Coral. The song "NYC (Sing It Out Loud)" is now available as an advance track from the album. The theme of this new song is their first U.S. tour. It was our first proper U.S. tour, and we were overwhelmed by the place," explains frontman Ciaran Crook. On the other hand, I knew there were people who wanted to share what they were seeing.When you are having a great time, you sometimes think about the people who are still in your hometown and wish they could see what I am seeing now. When I was in New York, I was thinking about the people who are still in my hometown, who have never been to New York and will probably never go there, and I wanted to show them this. Whereas the band's previous debut album, "Live for the Moment," captured the hedonism, youthful frustrations, and heartbreak with a lively and witty perspective, "Under the Sky" is a more youthful album that reflects the thoughtfulness and maturity that comes with growing up from teenager to young adult. In contrast, "UNDER THE SKY," more and more of their songs show the thoughtfulness and maturity that they have gained in the process of growing up from teenagers to young adults. Like their previous work, most of their songs are inspired by their own experiences, but the emotions they appeal to are universal, something that anyone can relate to. While the songs depict the bittersweetness and melancholy of growing up, there is always a ray of hope shining through. (1/2)
